this move works almost everything at once!  The deadlift works the glutes and hamstrings, the squat quads, and the curl the biceps.  Add in a shoulder press at the end and you have hit almost everything including your core big time by stabilizing your body on the unstable surface.
As always start out on stable surface then gradually increase the instability.
